RadioA1A®… 2024 State of the Station

RadioA1A® is an affiliate of the A1A.Productions (A1A Media LLC) and was created in 2013 by Harry Teaford in Islamorada, Florida with a goal and mission to broadcast Tropical Music, Entertainment, News and Information to the world from the Florida Keys. RadioA1A® studios are located at LA Studios at 7 N. Bayou Street in Mobile, Alabama. A1A.Productions also streams Country Music by independent songwriters 24/7 on Cruisin’ Country Radio and Inspirational independent songwriters 24/7 on Paradise Road Radio.

Many RadioA1A® programs are simultaneously video streamed live to the A1A.Productions YouTube Channel, multiple Facebook pages, and Twitter/Periscope. We distribute our RadioA1A®programming to over 25 Podcast Application platforms, including iTunes, Spotify, YouTube, Deezer, Soundcloud, Stitcher, Tunein, Alexa and Google Play. Podcast distribution allows for easy access to program replays by the public using smartphone and computer Podcast applications.

Unique RadioA1A® musical programming is contributed by independent singer-songwriters. It may be difficult or even impossible to find cover songs or well-known recording artists in the 24/7 programming rotation. Many have referred to RadioA1A® programming as “The Best Music You’ve Never Heard”. We call it “Music for The Road To Paradise”. RadioA1A® programming is easily accessible on dedicated smartphone and internet media applications.

The RadioA1A®  studios allow us to provide unique audio/video/Podcast production both live and recorded. We conduct studio recording sessions, live and recorded performances, produce music videos and quality streaming broadcasts from this facility. RadioA1A® Programming Director, Dewey Engstrom has 30 plus years in Radio, TV and Audio production. Dewey is also an accomplished painter, graphic artist, Social Media manager and website developer.

We have a close relationship with Tuff Duck Music Productions in Jackson, TN. They have embraced the ‘Tropical Americana’ music format and provide independent artists with advanced studio production, music distribution/publishing, marketing, and management. Tuff Duck Music has relationships with major studios in Memphis, Nashville, and Muscle Shoals, Alabama.

Although RadioA1A® offers a tremendous lineup of local ‘Tropical Americana' programming, there are also many virtual RadioA1A®‘Trop Jocks’ (Tropical Music DJs) broadcasting Worldwide who share the Tropical dream with passionate listeners everywhere to someday travel down A1A, the ‘Road to Paradise’, and visit the Florida Keys and Tropical Beach destinations everywhere. RadioA1A Programs offer a virtual paradise to these passionate listeners worldwide. One of the most popular LIVE Shows in the tropical music genre’ is ‘Weekdays With Wilson’ hosted by Lyle Wilson every weekday morning at 8:30 AM simulcast on RadioA1A® and Cruisin’ Country Radio and Inspirational independent songwriters 24/7 on Paradise Road Radio.

In 2015, RadioA1A created an exclusive and original multi location broadcast event that coincides with the annual Parrothead ‘Phlocking’ to the Annual Parrothead 'Meeting of the Minds' Convention. Each year, during the last full week of October the RadioA1A® broadcast team assembles in a specially chosen kickoff location to start the 9th annual ‘Phollow the Phlock MOTM Pit Stop Tour’. This ‘Tropical Americana’ independent songwriter tour finishes in a big “Party with a Purpose” at the ‘Meeting of the Minds’ (MOTM) Parrothead convention in Gulf Shores and Orange Beach, Alabama.

RadioA1A® listener statistics indicate that the average demographic description of our listeners/viewers are white females, average aged 52, empty nesters and household purchase decision makers with disposable income.
